On December 27th, INFONAVIT presented a communication release to inform that starting on January 1st, 2009 the bimonthly payment amount for Housing Damages Insurance (Seguro de Daños por Vivienda) increased to $13.00 pesos (Mexican currency) in order to guarantee and widen the coverage of the insurance payment for damages that could be caused by a possible accident or disaster in workers’ housing when such housing is obtained through a credit processed with INFONAVIT.

It also informed that the Economy Support Program (Programa de Apoyo a la Economía), a decree published by the Executive branch of the Mexican government last March 4th, 2008, in the official publication of the federal government (Diario Oficial de la Federación), ended its effect.
